Get to know Kroton: De Kroot!

Every month, we ask a Krotonner to write a blog about their life within Kroton. This month, it's time for Tessa (D2), who will tell you all about what it's like to be part of the CommunicaCie and how she, together with the rest of the committee, makes our association magazine the Kroot!

Dear Krotonners,

For this month's blog, I (Tessa) will tell you a little bit about one of the best committees within Kroton: the CommunicaCie! Together with Merijn, Esmée, Sebastian, Lidia, and Ilse, I am in this committee this year, and we make sure that 6 Kroots (club magazines) are published and since this year we are also responsible for the Leeuwenrace. The Leeuwenrace is a competition within the teams of Kroton to get as many points as possible by doing crazy tasks, named after our hero and mascot Tonnie the Leeuw. Now you may think, what a busy committee, so much to do, but actually it is not so bad. This year, the CommunicaCie often tends to take things very slow until there is almost no time left to meet the deadline, which is very stressful (especially for me, as chairwoman (maybe it's also just a little bit me)). At the moment we have already published three wonderful Kroots (even if we say so ourselves), but there are more great ones to come!

Now we are working on the fourth Kroot. To give you a better understanding of how things work within our committee, I will tell you how we make a Kroot. First of all, we schedule a meeting to come up with a topic and ideas for pieces. Then, we divide these pieces among the committee members so that everyone can work on them. We also set a deadline and schedule a meeting to make the Kroot. This meeting is mainly for finding pictures, checking the texts and the layout of the Kroot. After that, when the Kroot is ready, it is sent to the printer and then everyone can read it during the home game day!

For each Kroot we also ask for your input. You can send in Kwoots (crazy quotes from Krotonners), Krossips (gossips about Krotonners) and Dear Tonnies (asking for advice). This way, everyone stays up-to-date with the latest gossip, and more people can enjoy funny quotes:). For this Kroot we also sent you a questionnaire with questions about love! <3

If you have any questions about the CommunicaCie and/or you might want to join this great committee next year, feel free to send us a message!

XOXO

Tessa, on behalf of the CommunicaCie
